In the land of the Masai
My wife is a wildlife photographer and her birthday was coming up so I wanted to get her a gift she would never forget. After some research online, I decided on a vacation in Kenya where she could enjoy the wilderness. As our Kenya safari started we couldn’t help but gape with open mouths as we saw lakes full of flamingos and flat topped acacia trees filling themselves beautifully in the rolling plains. The sight of Mount Kilimanjaro seemed like the gods had sent a guardian to watch over the bounty of nature beneath. The sight that was completely awe inspiring was the wildebeest and the zebras racing the Serengeti in the great wildebeest migration to reach their destination and complete their life cycle. If all this wasn’t heart filling, the nights in the Great Plains filled with timeless stories narrated by scarlet clad Masai guides around a campfire under the star studded sky. The exclusive safari tour in the comfortable plane to beautiful exclusive camps and lodges were the perfect wrap. My wife has taken many pictures, but the mental images we found here have fed our spirits for the rest of our lives.
