Matsumoto cherry blossom castleJapanese totally different from western culture, so if you plannningh on a trip so the best advice is to immerse yourself with information about their culture. Japanese mentality is that of a group, than we in the west have been the focus on individuals. For that reason, if you visit Japan, people will treat you like a celebrity, speaking to you on the street and ask you to pose for photos.

Table Manners
- Most Japanese restaurants will give a small wet cloth before you eat. This is to wash hands before eating. When in use, fold and given by your side on the table. Do not use it as a napkin or wiping your face with it.
- Its Perfectly acceptable to make a sound when inhaling food. This is to show your appreciation for food.
- Always leave some food on your plate when you are finished, because this is a sign that you’re full. If you finish your meal, your host will think you do not have enough and to serve you again.

No Tipping
Japanese feel that tipping is rude, as their services are included in the price. If you tip, they will most often argue with you to restore it.

Japanese Bathroom
Japanese baths are not as we have in the west. You wash before you go, and they are where you will then be signed in to soak and relax. This area does not take into account race, age or language, they are just a place of relaxation. If you plan to travel to Japan this year, make sure you have valid Travel Insurance.
